Summary

• The book of renowned Peruvian photographer Juan Guillermo Billyʺ Hare Calle comprises 65 photographs about the daily life and customs of the citizens of the coast and mountains of the Piura region, northern Peru. This publication is a photographic archive featuring images, in black and white, taken in Catacaos, Huancabamba, Ayabaca, Morropón, among other places, where rituals and daily activities are portrayed. The content of this documentary photographic book is part of a personal archive that was made between 1987 and 1990 and supported Lupe Camino's ethnographic research on pottery, corn chicha production and traditional medicine in Piura.
