Summary
This panel discussion explores the rule of law from an international perspective; specifically, how the United States contributes to global understandings of the rule of law, including through funding of rule of law projects, championing rule of law principles in international entities and settings and cultivating an image as a rule of law country both at home and abroad. This panel is moderated by Elizabeth Andersen, executive director of the World Justice Project. She is joined by Temuri Yakobashvili, former deputy prime minister of Georgia and former ambassador for Georgia to the U.S.; Ashley Quarcoo, senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace; and Jenny Gesley, senior foreign law specialist for the Law Library of Congress.
